I do use a virtual machine for Windows to program my DMR radio. I only 
use that because I have no other choice. There is a solution that works 
well for Linux, and that is very accessible for screen reader users. I 
wonder why Yaesu decided to make it so that if you used the Chirp 
software, it would void your radio's warranty? why take something that 
works well, and effectively break it? I've worked very closely over the 
past few years with the Chirp software developers, to make sure that it 
is accessible in Linux. Given the history of Yaesu's stance on 
accessible equipment (which is basically why bother), I don't think that 
their programming software is going to be accessible.

Who knows, it might surprise me.
