By the way, Dave Duffin... your dad administered my Novice amateur exam in your dining room. At 12 years old, I rode my bicycle to your house on Kings Highway and nervously approached the grand entrance of that great old home. Joe gave me the 5 wpm code test, followed by the written exam. He was as happy as I was to know that I had passed with a 100% score. Following the test, we climbed the stairs to his expansive station where he found Miles on the air and gave him the news. Your dad and his RCA buddies were great mentors to us young-blood SJRA kids. I am forever grateful to have known Joe Duffin, W2ORA!!!
