SJDXA members,

On first glimpse inside the file cabinet, I have found a very well organized
system. Logs are kept in smaller sized binders and filed in alphabetical
order. Some binders have 2-3 logs inside. All seem to have blank cards in
pockets inside the front and/or back binder covers. All logs are hand
written but in fairly good condition. Some are "yellow" carbon or carbonless
copies of the logs. I saw some logs from the 60's. We will have to inventory
what logs we have and if we have blank cards.

Three of the file drawers are all log books. The fourth has the 3D2AM log
for Conway Reef 1990 as well as a bunch of extra assorted blank QSL cards
for Llloyd and Iris. (Yasme did handle some non-Lloyd and Iris logs, so we
will have to be aware. Such was the case for 3D2AM). Also worth noting that
3D2AM was used in at least two subsequent operations. This is only the 1990
one. The others were by others.

The bottom drawer was damaged in shipping. I had to use a small sledge to
straighten out the front in order to make the "latch" function.

I will bring the file cabinet to the site next week for our meeting.
Thankfully, the file cabinet won't take up much floor space at the site so
that should keep Bob happy while we work on this project together.

Although we all will need to discuss how we will be doing this project, the
ultimate plan will be to be able to remove the file cabinet in due course
once we complete the project.

See ya' in the Pileups!

73!
