I don’t see why anyone would want to send their K3 to Elecraft to swap any modules to the K3s . It is a very simple job to take a K3 apart to swap the parts, install mods, or upgrades. Also The 200$ doesn’t include the shipping/insurance to Elecraft . It’s a lot of money for a simple 30 minute job.
An elecraft product owner needs to be able to take their K3 apart, just so you can install the hardware mods that pop up. If you can’t do it find someone local to do it for you. It will save you a lot of aggravation. I will offer my assistance with any of this when I’m up there for the summer. Just ask....

Here is what was being Offered at FrostFest in Richmond this past weekend. I expect the same or better this weekend in Orlando. Also there is a K3S Special coming that was explained to me briefly and would be released this weekend too. All they knew was buy a K3S and if you have a K3 send it to them and they will take out all the K3 goodies and put it in the K3S and refurb your K3 for $200….sounds like winner to me. If I hear something I will pass it along for sure.
