[SJDXA] IRCs expiring

Just a little reminder.  If you have any IRCs on hand, check the expiration date on the back.  The "current" ones expire 12/31/2017.
 
The other day, I took 13 of them to exchange for stamps.  I took a copy of the USPS regulations, and instructions on how the office clerk rings it into their computer, with me.  I was told they don't do that any more.  I insisted (politely) that it was USPS policy to redeem them (even if the US doesn't issue them now).  He went back to back of office and called "retail", who also said it was against policy. After, biting my tongue and saying they would be hearing about it, I left.
 
Went to another office, did the same explanation, gave them the same documentation, and I was out in 5 minutes.
 
I sent an email to USPS and received a phone call from the postmaster of the first town, apologizing and saying he has not only talked with his clerks but also spoke to a supervisor in the retail department.  So, hopefully, the next time...
 
I have attached the documentation that I took in to the offices.  BTW, thanks goes to KU9C, qsl manager par excellent, for the computer instructions.
