See this link for contest summary. Actually the score is ~130K better than last year when we won the M/S category. http://3830scores.com/showrumor.php?arg=K8alzxfyqycmR
The CW Team has a plan to implement an 8 circle RX antenna system developed by W5ZN and N4HY. We have the critical switching system component and RG6 coax. Determining the best place to locate the antenna at West Creek site is progressing.
See this link for a description of the antenna....this is a very sophisticated and challenging array to install in our wooded environment....since it has eight vertical elements and a radius of ~340 feet. http://www.w5zn.org/files/Design%20Construction%20&%20Evaluation%20of%20the%208%20Circle%20Vertical%20Array%20for%20Low%20Band%20Receiving%20Rev%203A%2002-25-2011.pdf
Perhaps this winter will be sufficiently mild to proceed but it seems more likely this will become a spring or fall 2016 project. As we all 'age' having antennas that equal the performance of our high maintenance beverage antennas will be a very nice to have asset for future 160M seasons.
The remaining 160 meter contest events this season are as follows:
Stew Perry TBDC on Saturday evening December 26th.CQ160 CW the weekend of January 29th.CQ160 PH is the weekend of February 26th.

Subject: [SJDXA] FINAL SCORE

Follows is the final tally from the W2GD ARRL 160 Contest 2015. (Pending log review of course) 1681q 56c 81s 576,085 100K better than 2014 I am sure that John will put out a better overview at some point. But from my point of view, the station worked almost flawlessly. This was the best that I have heard the diversity in action using the beverages on one ear and the 4 square on the other ear. Often you could hear a signal on only one or the other. Both were exceptionally directive.John is planning a circle 8 RX antenna for the next contest to supplement although I am not sure exactly how it will be utilized. But I assume a switch arrangement is most likely between the circle 8 and the 4 square. Also the transmit antennas See ya’ in the Pileups!73!Bob Schenck, N2OOPresident South Jersey DX AssnGO SJDXA!!! www.sjdxa.orgField Day Chairman Old Barney ARCGO OBARC!!! www.obarc.org
