SJDXA Members,
Just thought I would bring you up to date on our involvement with the HK0NA
Malpelo DXpedition. www.hk0na.com
First off, the new QST has a super write-up on Malpelo in the DX column. It
includes some DXpedition history info which was pretty fascinating.
Tomorrow morning the FULL team should be arriving at Malpelo! (16 more ops
added to the 4 ops already there)
One of the first things that they will be doing is sending me the first set
of logs from the "advance" team's operations up until now.
I will be uploading these logs directly to Club Log which is where the
online log will be stored.
I will also be collecting the team's full log every day and uploading it to
Club Log for the online log search.
The team will have the capability of having as many as 9 stations QRV at the
same time. Plus a 6 meter beacon, EME, Satellite.
Operation is planned to go through Feb 7th.
CLUB LOG: I have added "South Jersey DX Association" as a participating club
on Club Log. www.clublog.org
I would like to invite ALL SJDXA members to register on Club Log and be sure
to include South Jersey DX Association as your club!
This is not for any "contest" stuff, so our FRC members can join as SJDXA
members on Club Log. The primary focus is on tracking your DX.
Also, when you upload YOUR log (ADIF) to Club Log, it will automatically
MATCH your QSO's to the DXpedition log when you do your log search function.
Not just HK0NA. But any DXpedition or station that participates. It is a
remarkable move forward for DXing!
You can also include your photo.
So, have fun with Club Log, especially with the HK0NA operation!
See ya' in the Pileups!
73!
