This was on radios from 2009 vintage.

Mine has this mod. I was unaware that it was a mod. I thought they all had
this feature from the beginning. 

 

Not sure which input this occurred on. Probably the RX IN which was hooked
to the beverages? It had a 196 RF limiter installed. Perhaps we need more
than that for future reference. The MKV had no problem in the slave
position. The other radios also had no problems including my K3. 

Looks like this is an important mod for the K3.  (CW team take note)
