[SJDXA] SJDXA Meeting

I have 5-6' foot high quality shielded RCA to RCA cables.  I have some BNC to SO-239 (uhf Female adapters) and a small assortment of others.  I will dig up a BNC Male adapter or two before the meeting so we can adapt an rca male to male cable.

I am looking forward to the meeting.  I cant come to any work party on Thursday but can get there around mid day on Friday.  I do agree on all counts of minor adjustments as mentioned below unless hip waders are required to get to the tower!

  Final preparations for next weekend's 160 SSB contest!

   

  Today (Sunday) John KE2OI and Randy W2RDM met me at the site. We did a visual inspection of the transmit antennas, and ran SWR checks. All seem OK. Some minor adjustments will need to b made on the inverted L and maybe the West sloper. But, we will probably leave the NE alone? We'll retest to be sure.

  We also did a broadcast band quick check of the beverages and they all also seemed to be working correctly.

   

  We will be needing a few short (about 3 feet) coax jumpers (RCA male / RCA Male) and maybe one RCA Male / BNC Male cable.

  If anyone has these, let me know. We have longer ones (RCA/RCA) available (KE2OI) but shorter ones might work better.

   

  Unless someone has other/better amp available than our L7, we will be using Marty's Alpha for the run station, and the SJDXA Drake L7 in the mult station. (AL811H as backup).

  Radios: K3's in run and mult positions (KB2M and N2OO). SJDXA FT1000MKV in slave position.

  We have no backups, so if you have something we could use for a backup, let me know.

   

  We will open up the site at about 8:30 AM Friday morning for set up.
