And I have long licensed hams that communicate world wide with OLDER
ICOM and Yaesu radios on an antenna only 25 ft. in air on 10m & all
other bands with any of 4 other antennas that were hand me downs, one
does not need a $ 4,000 radio to communicate ALL MODES when less
expensive equipment is available & works, just like people who buy a
Cadillac can not bring it to believe that their top of the line GM
product has components shared with Chevrolet's cheapest cars..

I've had Ford products in the past in which the front suspension was
designed for a FORD Falcon in 1960, yet was used on ALL FORD cars with
exception of the Lincoln Town Car until well into the 1970's, to spite
being designed for plain vanilla bias belted black wall tires on the
cheapest Ford Falcon, yet used on all other Ford automobiles that were
using more advanced steel belted low profile 70 series tires weighing
double the weight of what it was designed to handle.. (Reason I found
out, I had a 1970 Ford Torino GT coupe that went through front ball
joints one after another & not until the warranty was up, did I get the
complete story from a company downtown on Jackson and Bell street that
specialized in car and truck suspensions..

Guess I should have learned Morse Code at an earlier age, I could signal
with flags used aboard navy vessels while in Boy Scouts, guess I could
have translated that to CW application..!

I digress,
