The 6m only amps sure are spendy....  Which is why I built my own.  Still 
want to build a bigger output amp one of these days but 3-500w is more than 
sufficient for my needs.  Any more than that would be bragging rights.

So many 6m amp designs floating around over the years; some easy, some a
little harder but a basic design and common sense in layout...I remember
drooling  over one in the ARRL Handbook back in my Novice days (6 had
already captured my interest and the 1st contact I made as a General in 1974
was on 6! :)  The designs are not that big deal...and a decent tube or tubes
will provide a clean power output....I am amazed that 6m only amps cost
almost as much as a HF amp covering all bands from 160-10! GEEESH!!!
