I've used it so little that I've not seen any mods. I did use it with
the Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.5Kfx on six and was pleased with the
performance, but I have an old Icom 756Pro that I normally use. IF I
sell off enough *stuff* I will likely get one of the Icom 9100's for 1.8
through 440 MHz to use in the shop in place of the 897D. I like larger
panels and less menus. However I do have to admit the 756Pro and the
9100 have "a few", but they are easier to navigate than the the compact
rigs meant for mobile.

Welll...it will work with a straight key or bug.
I keep letting other "things" get in the way of sending it in and I need
it for checking out the three old amps (plus a bunch of tubes) I'm selling.
