The FT-857D shows up used for $525. - $625, mostly around
$550. - $575.

What's a 897D sell for used?

Any mods you've discovered that improve the performance
of the Yaesus?

I tried one of the filters, I think it was a 2.1 for SSB,
and found it made little difference. You really need a
1.8 with steep skirts to carve-out a tunnel in the QRM.
Not pleasant listening but often makes communication
possible. Last one I had was in a 690S/at (HF +6)
