If both ends are sealed, the pressure inside the coax can change
dramatically with temperature causing the coax to breathe in and out
through the connectors on either end. If the top is well sealed, or
sealed better than the bottom then the cable will be breathing in what
ever atmosphere is at that end. If there is moisture in there it will go
along with the air.

Basically you can not prevent the coax, any coax, from breathing unless
it is solid such as direct bury cables, or pressurized air core.
The last coax I had contaminated was LMR-400 and that was due to water
getting into the power dividers. Even though we consider N-type
connectors water proof, the water went *through* both the female
connector on the divider and the male connector on the coax. The
connectors were thoroughly sealed on the outside.
