[SixClub] FS: Kenwood TS-60s 6 meter radio - QRZ Forums

I have had 2 Kenwood TS60s in the past, and paid less than $300 for each of them. Wish I would have kept one or both. When I had them, I also had a Yaesu FT100D which is one of the best HF/6m/2m/70cm radios out there. When other local stations got on 6m I wouldn't work anyone within 10khz of them on the FT100D, whereas I could get within 5khz of the local station when using the TS60 and make QSOs-so the TS60 has a far superior receiver.

So, if I was starting from scratch and needed a radio on of the HF/VHF or HF/VHF/UHF radios would be a better buy. But, if I already had a high performance HF rig, and wanted to get a high performance 6m setup as well the TS60 would be a good investiment. It would be cheaper than a decent HF-6m transverter and amp for the HF rig and it would allow you to listen to 6m while operating on HF as well.

You see the same thing with the Icom 275H. People want $600 or more for one. For around that price you can get a used Icom 746, still get 100 watts on 2m, and get HF and 6m to boot.
