[SixClub] 6m Tropo

Well then you won't be surprised that I have
a Multi-Elmac AF-68A/PMR-8 station that includes
6M and a Gonset Commander II/PMR-8 that also
includes 6M.

I had thought of modifying one or both for DSB
but then stumbled upon a different plan - take
an existing dual-6146 deck and a 6L6 modulator
final and strap them together in a DBS format.

I will use the AF-68 and Commander as Exciters.

I believe that I can control the carrier level
so when contacting SSB stations I can back off
the carrier and on AM raise it a bit.

So there, another eccentric Ham! ;-)

I have not messed with 2M or 440 more than for
FM comms. I do have a 10w In/160W Out CW-FM-SSB
2m amp for sale if you know anyone looking ...
hint, hint!

BTW: Have you tried SSTV or DSSTV on 6M? It
might be fun to try 6M DSSTV DX when you spot
a DTV opening.
