You are incorrect in your facts below..

Crossed polarization IS 20db....that is a 100:1 power ratio....Thats what
makes SAT TV work (same transponder/cross pol = different channel!)

A S meter unit is "supposed" to be 6db per unit...but that's NOT universal
and cannot be accurately trusted..but it's not 3db!

Yes, there is that much difference (20db or 3-4 S units)....depending on
same distance, power, etc..
