Basically, anything that plugs into an Electrical outlet, you tie into a loose knot. The theory is if you get a lighting hit close to you and it comes into you wiring, it will hit the knot, burning your card but not the what ever that is attached to it. I have all my electrical Eqpt. in that manner. I've had neighbors have lost some of their appliances and other devices but all I had to do was replace my electrical plug in wiring. Now don't get me wrong, like you and others, I unplug my radios and other equipment that I can!

Interesting concept George. I admit I can not picture this in my mind
though. Can you post some more information, diagrahms or links for this?
Thanks
Larry

For those that not not know, ( I think those that are Hams do) If you get a
lighting to hit your electric pole, can burn your equipment out. If you put a
over and under through type hook up, it'll burn to the wiring but not the
Equipment out(Choke) and all you'll have to do is replace your electrical
hook up to your equipment. It can be loose not tight.
