[SixClub] Interesting 6M Gain Antenna

Hi,
I have used a home brew 6M collinear array antenna in a similar fashion. The antenna is around 33' long and, since it is made out of coaxial cable, it packs small enough to carry. I used it mainly in outdoor setups, specially when camping out: I just throw a fishing line with a sink to a tall tree, tie and pull up, using the tree as support. The weigh of such a long cable helps to keep is straight. Then it is just connecting it to the radio and fire away!

It is really interesting, could theoretically designed so that it could
be raised and lowered on a non-conductive flagpole - or at least one
where the top section is non-conductive - and maybe swapped in and
out for antennas designed for other bands.
One could disguise it with colorful kite material and have an attractive
gain antenna that isn't offensive to the yard-nazis in deed-restricted
communities. ;-)
We live in the woods so I just have to please my longsuffering wife,
KG4SBV, who would prefer pretty but who tolerates practical.
