I am aware that 50.125mHz is the national SSB calling Freq,
but sometimes one chooses to monitor in another mode in
order to reduce noise or for other reasons - occasionally
one may learn from others if one opens the door to their
experience by asking questions.
Also, sometimes from different geographic locations and
known patterns of propagation during the early moments
of an opening one may discover better results from a
vertical, or a wire dipole, or a horizontal or vertically
polarized beam, or a loop ... I am a newbie to active
monitoring for 6M openings ... not sure of others but I
am open to a variety of ideas.
50+ years of life have taught me that very little fits
into tiny little predictable boxes. Questions not
asked are answers not discovered.
