Complaining sometimes causes the band to shut down, so just slide up he band to call CQ, or look for others calling CQ up in Frequency. You can look down (Below 50.125) for DX (outside of US). Just because 50.125 is called the calling frequency, you don't have to call CQ there. In fact when the band is open calling CQ on 50.125 only means you will most likley be QRMed so others won't make your call out.
