I love my FT-736, can be used with 12v or 120 volts. make sure it can work repeaters with a tone card.. i bought mine new in 1998 and never one problem.
can be used for local FM repeater and SSB and Contesting. Does it all and have 5 choice of bands, but only hold 4 bands at a time, I also use a Heil desk mic and run amps for more power during contest.

Buy it ! its worth more than the TS-60
