Doug that is probably the best case for you, or  maybe buy a two position 
coax switch
and just use the second position as a  blank to protect the radio
The Low Pass and the Ice Filter really will not  protect the Front End of 
your receiver
from burn out overload, the likes of  which I think you could experience
I've operated at many Multioperator  Contest stations which we used
two transceiver combos to Max out our score on  the same band and the only 
real 
way to eliminate the overload troubles is to  separate your antennas as far 
apart 
physically as  possible
Otherwise the voltage that is generated will blow the receiver  to Mars

Keep the extra Radio on 50.125 for those band openings & Have  Fun!!!
