GUYS ....

We don't have to move FREQUENCY we need to let the
ARRL know just how unhappy we are.

This is how I feel ....

Here you have 2 guys who if they get their way will
destroy 6 meters forever. When asked what would this
new mode do of 6 meters and its users they respond
with " Look at how much fun streaming video will be ".
They refer to us as LEGACY modes and infer our time
has come and gone ( maby we need to call the word the
L WORD ) and for HAM RADIO to survive we must move
into the world ( THEIR WORLD ) of digital. One on that
digi forum e-mailed me that " We must be thinking of
those in grammar school who want to use digital "
WHAT? I got my first license at 14 and was already in
ELECTRONICS SCHOOL .... YES AT 14.

The ARRL is not lissing to any of us they seem to
think that giving away 90% of a band so that a few
people world wide can have it to play with is going to
bring in new members.

But it is not ......

THE FACTS ARE ..... SS over 200 kHz on 6 is a doomed
to failure mode the experiment is INVALID for the
following reasons......

1) Johns comment about NO ID NO HAM .... EXCUSE ME if
i read that right he is saying if you cannot ID the
digital station then IT'S NOT US .....

2) for INTERFERENCE they would have to be transmitting
24/7/365 AND have hundreds of transmitters going AND
THOUSANDS of receiving stations able to decode a ID in
digital AND analog modes ( US OLD LEGACY ( "L" word )
FARTS .... )

3) For god's sake 6 is closed right now how stupid a
time to look for interference EVEN if you had #2 up
and running this is DOOM to WORK since they can easily
say no one is complaining! For this to be valid the
experiment needs to be run under OPEN band and again
with many stations 24/7/365

4) Last how MANY do they have ready to use this new
mode I'll bet not more that 10 .........

So if anyone from the ARRL wishes to get this forum
and others USING 6 METERS involved they need to move
on it and at least let all of us know who we need to
write to. Because if it becomes law it's too late .

on 6 since 66
