Well, I'm going to try one more time. I sent this yesterday afternoon and
it never turned up on my reader.

What goes around, comes around though.
There for a while there were a lot of high power amps for sale, but more and
more were not making reserve or even receiving a bid. Alpha 76As (both two
and three tube versions) were going from a bit over 600 to $1200. Henry
2K4s were going for $600 to $800 (for a really nice one). Now it's rare to
see them listed. I haven't seen more than a couple of the old Hallicrafters
HT32 series amps in quite a while. Of course replacing one tube both the 76
and the Hallicrafters amps costs more than the amps are worth unless you
come across a lucky find. That does make the 76 series a good candidate for
mods and particularly 6-meters. Mater a fact I'd like to find another 76 in
that price range.<:-))

There have been a few of the big amps including late model Alphas or export
versions showing up and they do bring the big bucks, but the run-of-the-mill
amps haven't been. Hence they have almost disappeared from the auction.
