Doc,

What are the reputable sources of the TA7358P and

TA7303P ICs for the FSK board? A former employer

had trouble with restocking houses which sometimes

get manufacturers incoming inspection rejects into

their inventories.

I see the Data Sheet Archive shows BA4422AN,

KIA6078S, Sanyo LA1186, and Toshiba TA7378P

having similar block diagrams to the TA7358.

Any idea about how well substitutes operate in the

board?

PS. Traditional NTSC analog video occupies 4.2 MHz.Some early (ca ~1970) home VTRs used anapproximately 3-MHz bandwidth producing fuzzier video. The video signal is broadcast with carrier, uppersideband, and vestigial lower sideband. The last time Iread much about ATV (ca 1974) the books still mentionedproblems economically disposing of the lower sideband. The result was some ATV tests operated at more like8-MHz bandwidth. I don't know when that was last legalon 420-450 MHz or what might be allowed on themicrowave bands.
Best regards,

Steven
