[SixClub] vertical antenna(directanswer)

You'll never achieve 30 dB gain with a six meter rhombic, no matter how
large you make it. It might be possible to achieve such high gain with a
large array of stacked rhombics fed in phase, assuming the divider losses
are very small. The problem with a "30 dB gain" rhombic is that it needs to
be 560 feet long (at 50.125 MHz) and the loss in wire that long counters the
effect of any potential gain. Without being able to rotate the system, it
would be almost entirely useless because the front lobe, to achieve such
high gain, will only be three degrees wide. If you're not aimed precisely
at the target, you'll miss it. -WB2WIK/6
