[SixClub] 6M antenna question

I'd ask three questions just to start.
1. Do you have power to run rotators, radios, etc, or are you going to be
running from batteries?
2. How much money can you reasonably spend? Some budgets can handle
multiple towers, antennas, and amplifiers; others just about handle running
an antenna up a painter pole. (I'm closer to the later...)
3. What are you trying to do? Getting on the air for ragchews and informal
contesting is a different beast from a serious contesting site, or someone
who wants to do primarily satellite or EME activity.

Subject: [SixClub] 6M antenna question
I have a question about which I hope someone can provide some wisdom or in
lue of that just some simple guidence...
I am wanting to install a 6M antenna system of some sort at our year
around mountain retreat. The question revolves around the best antenna to
install for the environmental conditions extant, namely elevation and
surrounding terraine. The elevation is just shy of 8400 ft in a large mostly
oval valley with surrounding mountain to just 13,000 ft. (far northern New
Mexico) What type antenna arrangement will give me the most bang for the
buck (this can apply to HF as well as 6M.) Also it needs be mentioned that
there are no restrictions in my location whatsoever. Also as an aside it
should be noted that area TV stations have to use transalators to pump any
kind of remotely usable TV signal into the valley.
So, what should I look at in terms of overall effectiveness?
