It will really depend upon what your served agencies may require of you and
that varies from one served agency to the next. In Harris County TX we are
recommending (not requiring) that all our EmComm volunteers get as a
minimum;
ARECC-I
ICS 100 / 200 / 700
CERT if you can
All EC's and AEC's need to add
ARECC-II & III
ICS 800
(General or Extra class preferred)
Now that being said. We recognize that there are many many things that a
ham who has none of the above can do in an emergency and will be tasked
accordingly. My EOC of responsibility is the City of LaPorte (TX) and while
I don't have to do it this year I have another half-dozen or so things that
I need to complete before next year in order to enter the EOC.
