They don't have a leg to stand on if your QSO is outside the continental USA. Or if you properly call CQ DX or a DX Station.

Now, if you call a DX station after he has started a QSO with another station, that causes interference and confusion, something I hear a lot of. If you do that and mess up a contact, well that is just rude, and a lot of people will hear it and won't like you.

I have had one strange QSO where I may have caused interference, It was a Europe opening. I (W9FS) called a G3 station, I thought he came back to me, but he came back to W9FZ, I just thought the G3 was just getting my call wrong. The second time he turned it back (to what I thought was me) to W9FZ, I waited to key the TX and lo and behold I hear W9FZ. I later told Bruce I was sorry.
