And I agree with that. Achieving the "Amateur Extra Class" should (IMHO,
anyway) require something more than just passing a tougher written test.
Certainly Element 4 was nowhere near as difficult as the written test for
my Second Class Phone license, way back in 1964. Your Mileage May Vary, and
that's OK: we don't have to agree on everything.
I just got word from William.Cross at fcc.gov that the effective date on this
R&O is the standard "30 days after publication in the Federal Register".
