Monday evening on my way to a ham club meeting about 6:30 pm cdt, was
when I discovered activity on SSB, but due to background noise in
city traffic from my mobile, I wasn't too lucky at being able to get
any QSO's, I did try CQ a bunch of times before the meeting which was
at 7 pm, but couldn't raise anyone, so proceeded into the meeting.

If I could have raised one good contact, the meeting would have had
to wait.. (Meeting was about lightning protection & what happened to
the rotor cable when the club prez tried to crank up his antenna &
the embarrassing results..).
