Thanks to everyone you dropped an e-mail to read this book The Magic Band by Ken Nuebeck.  I think it has answered alot of my questions.  Propagation is understood, I am very interested on learning more about 6 meters.  If you know of anymore readying please let me know.  From the time I picked the book up I was up all night reading it and going back and hi-lighting areas that stood out to remember. I did get a 3elm beam and the next day had a QSO with FL from MD.  Using the beam on a tripod was a little hard but I am working on that rotor and tower.  I do have on question and idea I guess.  In the book it listed FM27 as a rare grid.  Do any of you out there need that grid.  Its not far from my house and I think it would be a good trip out to the beach for the June VHF contest.  Anyways thanks for the help.
