Actually I am doing the same for my shack which was torn down in our big
renovation project (complete demolition of one section of our house and a
complete rebuild with new basement). Shack will be on the fist floor in a
nice 18x30' room.
Never had problems with AC wiring noise in the house.
But some things I am doing for the shack while the studs are open.
1) AC outlets (as well as extra amounts) behind the radio positions will be
on their own dedicated/non-shared breakers.
2) 220V outlet
3) Large conduits in the wall to pull the hardline through. Will just be 1/2
hardline to the lightning arrestors on the Single Point Ground.
4) Conduit pull for the heavy ground wire to the Single Point Ground system
5) Conduit pulls and outlet boxes for network connections.

I could use BX, which is armored semi-flexible cable, but I can't determine
right at this moment if the code allows that.
