I know how you feel.  I have yet to hear anything other than the local
beacon on 6 meters.  I haven't the antenna yet and had been tuning my 80
meter sloper.  It doesn't seem to work well on 6, but it tunes.  

I have given up for now until I can get a 6 meter dipole or loop up.
