Hello,

I am new to amateur radio. I have a 706MKIG and 6M SSB is definately
the most interesting band&mode. I also almost have CW down, so I may
switch to that.q

I am hoping it will get better, but I go to DX summit and see all
these contacts. It seems to me like just as fast as the band opens it
closes. Is this common? I try to rattle off CQ once every 5 minutes,
but I'll hear someone start coming in and not 10 seconds later, they
are back down into the noise.

I hope the band oepns a little longer than that. I have yet to QSO.
