Vy interesting email Steve...I tuned down to about 50.090 so I should
tune down further and more often as I would like to work cw as well as
ssb...congratulations on grids worked...well done...my strongest signal
received was S8 on the FT-817...would be great to work you - 73 Bruce.

Last evening beginning 0030 UTC, here in southern CA (Los Angeles) we
had single and double hop Es to TX and the east coast.  I worked W5GAI
EM10; W2GFF/4 EM60; K4QI FM06; W4LK EM93; KG5RXF EM64; KG4PAC EM64;
KG4PSR EM65; K5DNL EM15; K4YMQ EM63 all in about 30 mins, and mostly on
CW.  Where I was, "below" 50.100 was very busy with CW activity, much
more active than above 50.100.  It pays to try both, for sure.  K4QI,
who is 2700 miles from me, was S9+30-40 dB a few times during this
session; made me think there might have been still another hop out
