hi murray,

Not sure what radio you have to use on 6m,
for FM vertical is just fine but to work
SSB and CW you are much better off using
a horizontal antenna.

Here is a link to an inexpensive easy to
build antenna for 6m with aluminum tubing
(# 12 thhn wire is also an option)

duplicate it here.  50 ohm direct coax fed,
gain similar to a yagi but less space.

I liked the wire version so much I built
the tubing version.
