[SixClub] Crazy Question

Murray,
The SSB calling frequency is 50.125MHz. If you just park your VFO there you
are sure to hear stations during band openings. By far the majority six
meter operators are using SSB however during opening you can also make PSK31
and RTTY contacts on 50.290MHz. These keyboard to keyboard qso's are just as
much fun as on HF. Also if you want to use the latest modes JT6M or FSK441
and work high speed meteor scatter download WSJT and monitor 50.260 for
random contacts or log onto Ping Jockey to make some schedules.
I was very pleased to see QST mention 50.260MHz as being the calling
freqency for HSMS but they left out the 50.290 frequency where digital modes
are used mostly during opening.
There are a few SSB stations who seem to use frequencys close to 50.260 or
50.300 for FM or SSB. This does not seem wise to me and likewise digital
operators should not move towards the SSB operations. IMHO
For a website to learn about WSJT take a look at...

Good luck on six meters.
