Dennis, I haven't had any problems with M2 antennas matching network. First
a 6M3 and now a 6M5X have performed just fine.

I haven't used the A505-6 but know many who do with good results. As a rule
of thumb, I've always heard that a yagi with longer boom length will give
more gain. The M2 has a 18 foot boom as opposed to Cushcrafts 12 foot boom.
But then again I was able to work most of my 48 states (including KH6) and
some SA with a 3 element with a 8 foot boom.

Actually, I've been thinking of looking for a shorter boom yagi for my house
mast, the 6M5X won't point NW due to a large Maple tree (about 2 feet
overlap a large limb). I was thinking of putting up the 6M3 but maybe the
A505-6 would be a better deal. I'm putting a serious radio shack into the
shop at the back of my lot over the winter with a 70 foot tower and the 6M5X
would go there.
