Also check out loops.They cost a little more but it's a piece of cake to =
stack a pair of them and wind up with a pretty nice antenna.  Check out =
models by Par or M2
You'd get considerably more gain than a dipole with a stacked pair.  You =
wouldn't have to put them very far apart and you can buy a pre-made =
cophase harness.  150-250 for the whole setup but it's a much better =
antenna system than a dipole by far, and truely omnidirectional
With aluminum tubing you can make the loops yourself.
