I am also very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Hank, W5VAS. I
lived only a few miles from him and he will be missed. He helped me a
great deal on six meters and was almost like my personal DX cluster.
He called me quite a few times to let me know when something "rare" was
on.
I will also miss the great ragchew sessions. I used to be a sports
photographer at a local TV station and he was always grilling me about
the Saints and his favorite team LSU. At least he was able to see them
win the National Championship. He was a HUGE LSU fan.
The last few times I talked to him I could tell he was in poor health.
His passing is a BIG loss to the six meter community.
As Mr. Hank would say ... 72's and I'll owe you one.
