I had the situation of a CA club station not knowing what its grid was. 
. . and that was their 6 meter station :{>  had to wait about 90 seconds 
till some one looked it up. All the time sweeting band conditions and 
noise, afraid I'd lose his reply. I got it and it was a new grid.
