  Sorry Richard I sent this message from an internet
cafe which is about 6 miles from the hotel and stopped
to see an old friend who I havent seen since it was
laided up in 1992. 
   The old friend is a ship and is now a musuem in san
diego. The old USS Midway is now a tourist spot, here
in san diego and is at the foot of Broadway. It was
considered the oldest carrier in the fleet during my
early years in Subic. I use to work on an escort ship
along side of her. The old USNS Navasota<tanker>.
