The MFJ 1025 Noise Canceling Signal Enhancer is a wonderful device
I've used here for years on the low bands; on 80 meters it can take
an S9 noise level down to S3, and signals totally buried in noise
then pop up 3-4 S units above the noise!

However, you can't just "Plug and Play" as it requires a separate
noise antenna that really hears the noise and a safecrackers touch on
the controls to find the fairly sharp noise null. Several people I've
touted it to claim it doesn't work at all... until I demonstrate to
them how to use it.

That said, I've had very limited success with it on 6 meters, as my
noise antenna usually doesn't hear the same noise sources as my beam
at 65'. I've thought of sticking a 6 meter loop on the tower as an
alternate noise source, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

For the low bands, however, it's priceless!
