Hey David,
I know you have had lots of suggestions but I'd like
to ad one more. I went to Captiva Island last year in
august and knew I'd be there for the meteor shower. I
bought two 6m Hamsticks and the dipole bracket
directly from Lakeside and clamped it to a pole with a
carpenters spring clamp. Worked OK. It was also light
enough that I could stand on the beach at night and
hold it in one hand and key the ht with the other. Be
sure to tune the thing up in advance with a good tuner
and mark the positions for reassembly.The end elements
slide in and out and lock with set screws.
