[SignalOne] Signal Level Mod

Hello!

   My CX7A receives harshly at full RF gain.  This is curable by backing 
it off.  Then the rig
receives fine - nice & smooth - but no AGC and no S meter.

   There is a mod that's supposed to address this issue.  The problem is 
incorrect signal
level at Q6, the detector.  Q6 is a dual-gate MOSFET.  Gate #1 goes to 
the 8.8Mhz signal from the outside world.  Gate #2 goes to the BFO 
signal.  The problem is that the BFO needs to be
4-5 times stronger at Gate #2 than the outside-world signal at Gate #1.

   I seem to remember that the fix was to modify the resistance of R19, 
the "load" resistor at Gate #1.
 From the factory, it's 180 ohms, and I think it was taken down to 47 
ohms.  But I'm not sure.

   Thing is, now I can't find that article!  It's not in the CQ Magazine 
article, and I can't seem to find it in any of the S1 Newsletters.

   Anybody have a clue?
