I am the original purchaser of CX-7A #29222354, bought from Don Payne, 
in the early 70's.  The radio is basically unmodified and served me well 
for years.    During several qth moves which prevented new antenna 
installations, it was carefully kept in private air conditioned, dry 
storage.  It subsequently developed a 60 hz hum and required filter caps 
replacement.  I started the change out but work, family and another move 
prevented completing it.  I would love to finish the capacitor change 
out but it has become a  bit much for me physically now at 78 to see 
getting it done.  The radio is partially disassembled in order to get at 
the caps,  but all there.

  I have the complete detailed service manual offered by S1 in 2 nice 
binders.  As I recall and remarkedly, every wire has the number printed 
on it and marked in the manual.

So, I am offering it now to some experienced CX-7A advocate who would 
like to put it back on the air and/or add to their Signal one 
collection.  If interested, please make an offer.
