Hi everyone. 
It's been a busy Summer but I finally had time to get the S1 cabinet 
paint matched at a local auto paint store.

I have not tried this mix as yet but it should be very close if not spot on.
I will be listening on 14.200 +/- this Sunday evening at 0000Z 
(Monday).  Maybe conditions will be better at this time and I feel sure 
there will be less QRM.  14.270 up is a zoo full of lids, kids and space 
cadets.
The total number of Signal Ones now stands at 196.  There may be one 
duplicate CX7 in the list but I am researching that issue.
Several S1 owners are planning to meet at Dayton.  If you are going to 
be in Dayton and would like to get together please let me know.  If 
there is enough interest I will arrange for a private room at a nearby 
hotel or restaurant.  Otherwise we can just meet somewhere for drinks 
and dinner.
Sadly I must report that two Signal One owners are now SK - Jim 
Jorgenson, K9RJ and Weldon Drennan, K5LQL.
On a personal note I had the great pleasure of acquiring Ora Smith's 
MilSpec1030C, Icom conversion rig.  Turns out to be one of the finest 
amateur radio transceivers I have ever operated.  That includes all the 
current high end radios.  Guess I'm going to have to lay off on my "rice 
box" comments since this really is a rice box. HI
