I received a note that a fellow had sent some of the history of S/1
but as yet, I have not received anything.

I'd like to hear all the stories, how did it start, why did it move,
what went wrong?

I don't understand this hobby or the history.  I see many anomalies.

Some of it is in the numbers.  About 1,000 Signal/One's of all
kinds, these sell for almost nothing on eBay.   KWM-2's, of which
there were many tens of thousands, are worth more.   

Neither the S/1 nor the M-2 are that much better or worse than a
new-in-box, bottom of the line ICOM, Yaesu, or Kenwood.

I like them because they have a history. 

I'd like to know more of the history, especially the stuff that
would never make QST.
